24th of May 2008

24 May 2008
Went to Qb last Saturday. Yeah!!! first time going out this holiday.
however, the agreed time was very late, about 3.30pm. haiz... actually, good also lar. so i get to go to CHC for the food fair in the morning. yeah...

My mom drove too fast. so didn't get the overview

Me and Shan Hui reach there together. xD don't misunderstood. We walked up to GSC (the meeting point)

Saw this on the way. A story telling competition for primary school students!!!

While waiting for Ke Er's arrival (Jasmine reached d), we were discussing about dinner. So we thought of eating here

Cause Yee Fong said the things here is nice

Question is, can u sit on a toilet bowl and eat something from a toilet bowl? xD

Not long after, Ke Er arrived and she chat with her friend awhile. And I chat with the bf awhile. xD such coincidence. Then It was time to enter the theater, bought a regular pop corn (perlied by the girls later, saying i didn't want to share. sob.. no money d mar) and coke after entered.

Watched Narnia: Prince Caspian

The story is ok only give it a 2/5. Cause I didn't like the plot. but I love the mythological creatures created and the battles. Just loved the strategy they used and the excitement between Peter (High King of Narnia) and Lord Midaz (King of Tamaranians). I really don't like the plot, cause so many are sacrificed in the war while Aslan was hiding away, part of me really agreed on letting the white witch out. You need to have assurance in a war not faith! If you are the general, You hope for someone (not plan for someone) to save you, You are not worthy to become the general at all.

After watching the movie, we went for a stroll (can't decide for our dinner)

A back picture of Ke Er (in front pink shirt with the handbag), Shan Hui (White shirt and jeans) and Jasmine (pink shirt, long pants and the sling bag)

Sorry! didn't ask for their permission. bleuk...

In the end, We ate at

Old Town White Coffee

Ordered the curry chicken rice thingy (almost like the nasi lemak there) and a blackcurrant drink (it is only ribena with a few black berry in it and it costs RM10+? WTH)

After dinner, to kill time before my parents come and fetch me (man I wish I can drive now, so that i can drive Shan Hui back. hehehe...), we browsed the books in

Popular
Actually I would prefer looking for books in Borders. They have a larger variety of books. Popular only have reference books, reference books and more reference books spoil my holiday mood only. But i'll go with the flow. I was apparently staring the books there. haiz...

i was looking for books at

The cooking section!
What the heck am I doing there? xD looking for a belated birthday present for mom. She wanted the healthy enzyme guide book. Not that she doesn't how to make it, just that she wants to learn other technique. I have tried looking in Borders also, but they do not have it. Oh well, I did looked for it. Then I came across this book that made me laugh. xD
A book about Ong Ka Ting xD

I was like, 'Is he so great? then why did he almost fell off the sit as the chairman of MCA?' hahaha... I shall not give any more comments on this. (later i end up in jail sob...)

Then my mom called, while walking out of Qeensbay mall, get an ice cream! muahahaha...
But not from Baskin Robin or Haagen Daaz, but
Mc Donald's
Cause Yee Fong like the Mc flurry here. (cham... everything related to her wan XP)

Mc Flurry
Bought the chocolate flavour one, it costs me RM4.75 xD, but I like it. So its ok...

And that ends that saturday

Me kena TOTO!!!

Ok, the story goes like this. I was reading the paper (only happens once a blue moon). read some interesting articles, read the comics, look through the cinema time and read the cartoon strips.
Next thing to do is, the lucky draw numbers. See if there is any number i'm familiar with.
Then I saw this...

(of course not this lar, this is from the internet)

What's so special you say?

compare my last IC number with the first prize number!!
(sorry about the blurrness of the IC, my camera and my handphone camera are not meant for close range picture taking)
it's exactly the same!!

I was like, wth? can't this number appear on the 4D page when i'm legal to buy it? haiz... too early. and such chances might not come again. Oh well... that's life

I went there that morning about 11am and i was suppose to lend a hand to my dad, since that he is a teacher there and he needs to take care of his stall. But instead I'm transform into the camera man when i reached there. xD

No... its not wonderland where white mushroom grows everywhere. It's CHC having their food fair.

now, isn't that a lot of people and stalls? =) and this is just part of the food fair

My dad's stall
err... sorry miss. didn't meant to take your picture

stall...

and more stalls...

just look at the queue... wth its RM5 per cup for the Taiwan milk shake but everyone is still lining up for it?

the only stall there with duty students wearing a matching uniform. Now that's service

a happy couple

plants for sale?

home made banners used to catch the customer's eyes

yum yum... laksa. sadly my dad didn't give me any coupon to eat.

cute banner...

a 'must have stall' in a food fair. ICE CREAM!!!

just look at that... kolian the duty student. suffocated them all day

special canopy for people with food to come here and enjoy their overcharge food (just kidding) =) It is a food fair, i guess it suppose to be more expensive

for those people that are so clever to eat before going to a FOOD FAIR, here is a place for YOU!!!
The place for u to PLAY!!!

eii.... i thought i have zuga in the pic. nvm lar. haiz...

A picture in the staff room. see the guy standing there? with the blue shirt? That's the headmaster!!! Wuu....

i guess headmasters all also human that needs to drink and eat, but how many will support their food fair buying spending their own money in it?

It is definitely not a good news when you know my dad, and u somehow appear in front of his stall. and this is where Raymond (red shirt) have to korek his pouch bag for the money. xD pity him
Guess what is the girl's (in black) age?
if you are thinking 13, your right! walau... cannot believe her. she looks so matured, yet she's so young and pretty (:p)

OK enough pictures... work time... haiz...
and I'm the chilli boy. haiz... and my dad was like promoting his son instead of the food. haiz... He was like 'come, come I introduce you my son', 'don't want ar? don't regret ar' (as if i can't find a girl i like. haiz...)

before we head home about 2pm, bought a few things. muahahah... finally. but sadly the ice kacang tutup kedai d. haiz..

then later evening went to QB (Queensbay mall) Yeah....

19 May 2008

Wesak day
Only went to Than Hsiang temple to pay our respects this year. dunno what's up with my dad. normally we'll also go to the Mahindrama temple during this day.

I've just reach the car park and its crowded with cars!!!Besides it was already 2pm!! wow...

Then we pray at the Quan Yin altar first,

these are the names of those who had passed away. On the bottom, the brown boxes are food offered to their relatives or friends. In Than Hsiang temple, you cannot find any polystyrene boxes as they are non biodegradable, so they use these brown ones instead. Its costs more for each boxes, but for the greater good sacrifices must be done.

2 fellow citizen praying to the Buddha, can u see the brown boxes on the table top? those are battery candles. Which is safer, cheaper and more environmental friendly than regular candles.

Here are some people 'bathing' the Buddha, we 'bath' Buddha every year, as it is a form of blessing when we cleanse the Buddha.

a long queue indeed

After paying our respects in the main shrine, we head to the sixth floor.

donation counters outside the main shrine

The Buddha statue placed on the sixth floor

It was 6 floor high, but the lift was crowded with people, so it was actually slower than taking the stairs. So the idea hits my head to run up there. And what do you know? I reach the 6Th floor faster than the lift! xD I did the same while going down to ground floor.

When i ran down the stairs, there are people walking in and out of the
5Th floor, so i went to the 5 1/2 floor to take some pictures.

There was an exhibition of the artwork and achievement of Pu Ti primary school and high school students!

After i reach ground floor, I waited for around 5 minutes then only the lift arrive. score 2 for me and 0 for the lift =)

Just before we take off, we get some blessed water home

Volunteers helping to distribute the blessed water.

and here we are.

When we were heading to the canteen, this is what i saw

Beware of snatch thieves!

WTH? snatch thieves in a temple? that god damn it person is so brave ar? stealing is already a crime, and now this? stealing in a holy place? Such person should not exist!!! if you can afford a motorcycle, that's mean you still have the money to fill it with fuel. Then why steal? Why won't you not work for yourself? inconsiderate people...

and here's the camera that is installed after the incident or before the incident? aiya dunno lar. just thinking that even a temple needs a security camera gets on my nerves.

It's been awhile since i went to Than Hsiang temple. And guess what? the space between the new block and the main hall was made the canteen. And what did the canteen become?

an article shop!

wow... such a big shop indeed

And that ends the day...
